AmyAmy Davis, N.P.-C.

Amy has always had a desire to help people and to improve their quality of life. It is for this reason that she became a nurse. Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in Atlanta and her Master’s of Science degree from Brenau University in Gainesville.

Her background consists of oncology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, neurology, pain management and integrated medicine. It was through functional medicine that Amy realized just how important treating the “entire” person was. “Functional Medicine is very different from traditional medicine. In traditional medicine, we are taught to basically treat symptoms. It was always quite frustrating for me to meet with a patient and not be able to tell them what was causing their problem. When I went into functional medicine and started looking at body systems and how they interacted together, I was amazed”. Finally I had answers and could explain to patients why they were feeling bad”.

In addition to nursing, Amy enjoys camping, being outdoors and spending time with her husband, two children and a boxer named “Dooley”.
